...living up to the name? People think you are smart. Do you ever get annoyed when people realize you are just the same as anyone else?
Isn't it hard to relate directly/honestly/openly/unsuperficially with people sometimes when you have to protect your image as a not necessarily superior, but smart or person of high intellect? Doesn't it ever feel like you wish you could just let it all go and have fun and be your fun self and let the facade fall away? Do you ever regret graduating from a prestigious university and having to live with that school of high name recognition and perceptions/expectations for the rest of your life?
It's also really annoying when people poke fun (possibly out of jealousy) and say things like, "oh, well you go to so and so, but you can't even do such and such". The problem is, they are kinda right, which makes it more annoying.

Do you ever regret bad behaviors that developed at least partly a result of the stress you put yourself through to "succeed?"
Do you ever feel ashamed of how hard you studied /how much you sucked up to teachers/ how desperate you were to get in and how much you worked for it and all the little things you did to make sure you would get in?

Do you ever feel ashamed like what you wrote in your admissions essay was just a bunch of hooplah that you just wrote so you would convince the admissions people you should get in?

Do you ever feel ashamed of yourself about the whole thing and wish that you had just gone and worked at mcdonald's right out of high school and not decided to go through all those motions just for a piece of paper saying you are smart which then you have to live up to for the rest of your life?

Thanks for your replies. Hopeing to get some harvard/yalies to answer /ivyleagers / top ranking universities etc also Stanford, Columbia, MIT, Gtown, Princeton, etc.
