I was kinda curious if I might like something like this when my current car bites the dust. Wondering if you could please share your likes/dislikes about this vehicle? I have a daughter who is still in a carseat - does this vehicle have enough room in the backseat to accomodate both a carseat and other passengers? I now have a Sunfire, and with the carseat in the middle other passengers tend to get squished on the ends!

yes, you will have the same problem with an escape. a carseat against the door will help accomedate one other backseat passanger comfortably. other than that, the escape isn't any bigger than a sedan.

No, but my hubby's cousin has one and they have two young children. Ford Escape is VERY small - it's really not bigger than a sedan at all. If you're looking for big space for kids in the back, upgrade to a mid- or large-SUV, avoid the small ones. I had a RAV-4 for a few years. I loved it - but then we got two dogs and we're planning on starting a family, so I knew it was time for it to go! I know have a Trailblazer and I love it! It is roomy in the back (for the dogs) and there will be plenty of room for car seats. Now if I could only get pregnant (TTC for 3+ years)! haha

ive ridden in a ford explorer with a carseat and there was enough room [im 5 foot 9, so pretty tall for a female]. i have a 2006 trailblazer though and i loooove it. There is PLENTY of room up front and you can EASILY fit 2 other passengers comfortably in the back along with the rear facing car seat i have [my grandfather who is 6 foot 5, and father who is 6 foot fit comfortably in the back with the carseat installed.] theyre also a good price! we got an incredibly awesome deal on ours with low mileage. i just absolutely love it.

EDIT: sorry i thought you said explorer. the escapes are teeny tiny in the back, ive ridden in the mercury version of it [its the exact same body] and my legs were squished and it was tight even without a carseat back there. If i were you i would go ahead and get a mid sized SUV like the explorer or the trailblazer =]
