Do any of you ever wear a football or sports jersey that doesn't belong to your team?

I was just about to buy my favorite player's jersey and then he announced he was signing with another team. I really love that player and he was sad to go, he was there for thirteen years.
Also, there's another player I like but he was never on my team.
Is it strange or wrong to buy another team's jersey?
