I happen to think it's incredibly pretentious and all about the gratification of the poet. I can't sit down and read a book of poetry without thinking, "Jeez, man, cut out the bullsh!t." That's just me. Please give your opinion about poetry, and why you feel this way. Who knows? You may convince me.
