Do any of the cars use 16V battery or is 12V battery used everywhere?

never heard of a 16V..

But early ( 1990's ) Nissan Patrol's have 24V ( two batteries )

And early Volkswagen Beetle's and Kombi's have 6V

trucks are usually 24V

A lot of early ( 1940-1960 ) european cars have 12V but the earth is positive.

Nearly every car now is a 12V, negative earth setup
