Do all PSAPs and PSDPs require their dispatchers to undergo a polygraph test?

I'm finishing up training at the police academy for police and medical 911 dispatch, but I heard from someone, potentially unreliable, that you have to take a polygraph test as part of the hiring process.

I'm quite freaked out by that.. what kinds of questions do they ask you? Do they ask you stuff about your personal life? Do all agencies do this?
 
I have never heard of anything like that.....I seriously dont think you have anything to worry about. In all my years I have never seen it done....there might be some psychological testing to see how you would react in an emergency situation. Your best bet is to ask your Lead or dept what you can expect next...Dont listen to others if you want to know...go to the source. 911 dispatch is not for everyone. Good luck to you. I have trained many and know it can be a very stressful but rewarding job.
