Do 2002 Volkswagen Passats GLX 4Motion cars have oil cooler systems?

I was at a dealer I noticed some leakgage and it was a light brown color not like the color of oil. They told me it was fixed and that it was an oil cooler sytemk found on Volkwagens and Audis. I have never heard of such a system and am wondering if they are just bullshitting me. I know a decent amount about cars, but am very unsure about this. Thank You
