has anyone had a direct lateral interbody fusion?
this is where the surgeon goes in through your side to remove a disc, replace it and do a fusion. I've had two micro discectomys. The first one worked great but I re-herniated after two weeks. I never recovered from the 2nd one...hurts more now, L3/L4.
