dizzy feeling comes on for no reason

I sometimes get a feeling of dizziness even when i'm still like sitting down, it comes on for no reason and then leaves me with a frontal headache, my GP has presceibed Prochorperazine and is sending me for a blood test to rule out other things, my blood pressure is borderline. Could it be an inner ear problem? my GP said it could be. What else could cause this? it's very strange and very unpleasant, it makes me feel on edge and scared in case i pass out or something
