Table saws are great tools for DIYers, but are capable of causing a lot of damage if you're not careful. If your hands ever come within a foot of the blade of a table saw you may want to consider making push sticks from ½" plywood so you can push the last bit of a workpiece through firmly without placing your hands in the danger zone (cue Kenny Loggins).
