Dear All,

I wanted to view a Divx on my e61 and the software says expired please download new version. Does anyone know where to get the new version?

Hi Scott,

Divx support contacted me a few days ago after I enquired about the expiration too, apparently the beta was set to expire on New Years/New Years Eve. Divx support simply told me to expect a new version "soon". I went ahead and bought SmartMovie as it is has a very similar interface to the Divx interface.

DivX player plays the same file as SMART MOVIE you need to convert them using smart movie converter, YES DOWNLOAD v0.85

How about if we change the time on our phone, to 2006?

how then will the program know that it expired? Because there is no automatic update with internet...the same zip file that sits on my computer gets on the phone

Im gonna try changing my phones clock, then installing divx...i bet it will work

Why? The program and download is freely had, and it's rather simple to remove and reinstall.

tried installing the s60 v3 version from the link above on my e70-2 but i keep getting a wierd error when it tries to install..any ideas or other free divx apps that would work?

can real player play divx? that'd be sweet! havent tried

Make sure that under the options in your app manager you allow all and disable cert check.

hey thanks! I disabled the certification thing and did it like I did last time and it worked great! now lets hope it plays my Divx files w/o a hitch hehe.

It should work fine for you, but the word is that this version (like the last one) is a timed trial and will only work until March 31.

hey guys, i tried to install the latest version on my e62, but i get an "update error". anyone run into this before?

nvm, 0.85 doesn't support the e62. i think that's waht it doesn't work.
