My mother wants to divorce from my father because they are constantly fighting as he makes no money so we live off of financial aid. However, my mother has depression problems so she is "disabled" by the government and father does not want to divorce (because of the money). I am one of her two girls (16+17yr olds) and I am disabled as well because of a problem in my leg. I don't want to end up staying with my father. What can we do regarding the money problem and is it possible for me to choose which parent I want to stay with? Or should I just keep waiting until I'm 18 so they can divorce without children complications?
