Divorce (law) question. Uncontested with child?

Ok, so my brother is in the Marines. He got married right before he went to Iraq 2 years ago. His wife got pregnant while he was gone. Definitely not his child. They separated when he found out. Since the childs birth, shes flip flopped on whether her baby belongs to my brother (even though he knows the truth). Mocking him one day because her baby isn't his, calling him the next saying "your son is sick". Up until last Monday she wouldnt sign any divorce papers just to be spiteful. Well she called and said that she was going to DHR to file for child support and if he would meet her to look at those papers, she would sign the divorce papers. She forgot her papers when they met and she followed him to his lawyers office. When the lawyer read off the part that said "The couple have no children. Mrs. #### has a child that was born into the marriage. That child is not Mr #### and is the result of an affair outside the marriage" she stopped him and said she had something going with DHR and my brother was going to take a DNA test. The lawyer said "No. These papers end it all. If you sign these, its over." She looked at my brother, grabbed the papers, and signed them. Well just today she called him and said the case worker called her and set up a meeting the 16th and she was supposed to bring an address and phone # for my brother. WTF is going on? Did her signing those papers really end it and shes just pushing her luck, or does my brother have something to worry about?
Please do not leave any "just take the DNA test" comments. He says if there was 1 possibility that child was his, he would take the test. he was in Iraq. No question. He has the papers to prove it.
