distressing hypersensitivity to Tyramine please help !!!

Hello, sorry about the lengthy post but i need help and this is a tricky case. I am a 38 y. o. woman with a healthy lifestyle ( well balanced whole foods diet + daily exercise). My appendix was removed when I was 8 y. o. and my gallbladder was removed when I was 21 y. o. due to the presence of stones. I am otherwise very healthy and lean, i do not take any medicine and when I was checked for food allergies it was determined that my only allergy was seafood which of course I avoid.
But about 1 year ago I started noticing that I was reacting violently to foods that are high in Tyramine, like salami, cheese, sauerkraut, marzipan, avocado etc... I have had about 12 attacks in 2 years and the symptoms during the attacks are always the same : about 5 to 10 mn after ingesting the culprit food my heart starts racing ( 130 to 150 bpm for 3 to 10 mn) , my blood pressure goes up, I feel very dizzy and nauseous and my whole body starts shaking for about 30 mn, which is usually followed by a light headache.
None of the 7 doctors ( including a neurologist) I've seen so far have ever met someone with this problem, and they couldn't tell me why i started being so sensitive. Usually people reacting to Tyramine are migraine sufferers, which I am not, or are taking antidepressants, which I am not either.
My blood tests results are good except for the bilirubin (a little high) and a bit of adrenal fatigue. So after doing much research I put myself on a low Tyramine diet, which helped me put some weight back on and feel less terrified of eating but doesn

Please post your question on one Board only. The other threads have been removed. This one will remain. Thank you.

I don't know that much about this, but I am VERY sensitive to many foods, like cheese, anything high sodium. I cannot touch Chinese food now. I don't do well with processed foods, for example deli meats. Geeesh. I hope someone can come along soon and give you some good advice:)

Hi, just read your post. I HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS YOU. NO ONE HAS YET FOUND ME AN ANSWER. I FALL ASLEEP INSTANTLY AFTER TYRAMINE. AND IF I EAT A HIGH CARBO.MEAL WHEN I AM OUT, THEN GET UP TO WALK, MY HEART GOES LOOPY. I HAVE TO LAY DOWN. THEN AFTER ABOUT l hour it slows down, i THEN FEEL ILL FOR DAYS. BEEN TO HOSPITAL MANY TIMES, NO HEART CONDITION FOUND. I AM TERRIFIED TO GO OUT, IN CASE I GET AN ATTACK.
I BECAME SENSITIVE SUDDENLY LIKE YOU. I BECAME ALSO SENSITIVE TO WHEAT, AND CHEMICALS OF ANY KIND. TOGETHER WITH THE TYRAMINE FOODS THIS MAKES LIFE MISERABLE. I ALSO GET VERY DEPRESSED, QUITE NATURALLY I THINK. OTHER PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW HOW AWFUL THIS PROBLEM IS. MENTION "ALLERGY" TO THEM AND THEY THINK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT SNEEZING FROM POLLEN OR SOMETHING. BELIEVE ME IF THEY SUFFERED FROM THIS PERHAPS THEY MAY KNOW HOW UNHAPPY IT MAKES YOU.
SORRY TO GO ON, BUT IT WAS GOOD TO READ ANOTHER POST WITH EXACTLY MY SYMPTOMS.
IF YOU HAVE FOUND ANY HELPFUL TIPS, I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW.
BEST WISHES,
SHEILA 41

Furthermore to my previous post, I also eat healthily, do not take anti-depressants, or any subscription drugs, nor do I have migraine. (well except rarely, when I have a ziggy line in my eye - common from too much chocolate, which by the way I only have 70% content, dark choc. Bye again.
