Dissertation help; Can i hand in the same piece of work twice?

In an earlier module for my masters i completed a literature review on a topic. No i am writing a dissertation on this same subject.... can i hand in the same literature review?? Would i have to re-word it?? Or are both ideas poor ones as the assessor will not allow me to hand this in??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
