I applied to an apartment and was denied. I recently received a letter stating the reason why I was denied. I have a past balance from my previous apartment bacause I was let out of my lease early due to problems with my apartment. I'm suppose to get a bill in the mail from my previous apartment but I haven't received it yet. I intend to pay my balance once I receive it but it's making it very hard for me to get another place. Is there anyway I can explain to the apartment I just applied to my situation or is there anything I can do to dispute my denial. Thanks in advance.
