Hello i have a few question about this. Now my Grandmother recently died, and when she died she left land behind. Now this is a dispute between my mother and her Brother. In a paper she left behind it had all my mother siblings name on it for the land. Now i know this is an attorney job and decided by the court, but i am just looking for some way i could help my mother out. Here the dispute, Her brother wants to see half the land which is worth $300,000. The problem is the other half he wants to keep. Since the paper didn't exactly say how much of the land each sibling gets, my mother doesn't think he should get the choice to sell and keep all the money to himself plus the rest of the land. I am just wondering if there is any kind of law/rule or even old case that might help. My mother goal is to try and get everyone in the family and equal percentage.
Now here the other thing. My grandmother was an US Citizen, however the land is in El Salvador, which is outside of USA and located in Central America.
