Hi, I wonder if anybody has any experience with this at all? This happened again to me last night, can happen sometimes a few times a week, but usually about once a week. I get this feeling of not knowing where I am, absolute confusion, I could have a remote in my hand and have no idea what it is, next think I know i'm on the floor coming to, takes me a good few minutes to properly come round and know where I am again. It's happened around frienRAB and family and at the time I will have no idea who they are.

I've been to the doctors several times, tested for epilepsy and the results came back negative. I've suffered with anxiety/depression for over ten years now, so he feels it could be linked to that. I've been referred to a psychiatrist, so hopefully that will help somewhat.

Even though I've had depression/anxiety for ten years the passing out has only become frequent the past few months, the feeling of confusion started about three years ago.

Worries me now because I just collapse, have already smacked my head and last night landed on a wooden table on my hip and am in agony from that lol!

I too suffer from constant anxiety and it can cause just about anything. If you have been tested for epilepsy and it came back negative I'm sure it is just anxiety. You also may want to have an MRI done on your brain. Disorientation is a common symptom of anxiety though. A lot of time i will be sitting there and totally forget where I am. I'll feel so confused and can't think straight. A lot of times I'll become unaware of what is even going on. A lot of times it's that dreamy derealization feeling. I've had these symptoms for about four or five years and thought I was having seizures but I read somewhere that these are common symptoms of anxiety so I stopped worrying about it. Although I'm familiar with the disorientation, I've never passed out, I've came close from hyperventilating from a anxiety attack but I've never passed out. And if your doctors say your healthy then I would say it is anxiety.

Good luck.

Yes, my friend!! I still have that happen to me once in awhile... I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and had brain surgery in 07... Have you had a recent MRI? Do you have freguent headaches? Do you suffer from fatique? Go online and google Chiari Malformation and what you are describing is called "drop attackes"

God Bless

DTG: Investigate Non-Epileptic Seizures and TIA's. Look at what you're eating and if it's got MSG in it try to stay away from it. If you're drinking diet sodas with aspartame in it it's not good for you.

See if you can get your neurotransmitters tested. Get a toxic/non-toxic element test done.
These tests will show if you're deficient in vitamins and minerals and if you've got high levels of glutamate in you (MSG).

Unfortunately we live in a toxic world and it's invading our bodies.

Try taking some magnesium, selenium, Vit B6, B12, and Vit D

See if you can pinpoint any triggers - EMF's, video games, computers, TV, all electronics, cell phones. Get allergy tests done.

Are you sensitive to fluorescent lights? Are you sleeping well? Are you under alot of stress? These can all be triggers.

Have you had an MRI? Don't give up - there's help out there somewhere. Change doctors if you have to.
