maybe we can support eachother! I am wondering the same thing! My sister has a very low IQ(wich makes her diagnosis mentally retarded in the paperwork/ evaluation) and mental illness. She has always acted lie a child and shes and adult. I am trying to help advocate for her but it hasn't been pretty! I am wondering how they can keep some like this locked up in a hospital/mental ward? I mean how stable can someone with mental illness be if they have a handicap? I am wondering if there is anything legal that can be done?
