Discuss your transition into high school?

what do you remember about the experience you had when you transitioned from middle school into high school?
was it stressfull or easy transition for you?
did you have to switch schools and attend classes with students you never met before?
who help you with this trasition?
what do you wish you would have known back then that would have made this trasition easier?
 
I am a Senior, class of 09 so it wasnt that long ago for me.

It was a bit stressfull in the beginning I will admit, because I had to adjust with the new faces (the upper classmen) and the halls were wayyyyy more crowded than in middle school. Plus the teachers are more strict and all that.

I did have to switch schools, but it was on the same campus as middle school, most of my classes were with the same people as my grade so not really any new faces in my classes unless an upper classmen was in the class.

My friends helped me ALOT, we tried to get the same lunches as eachother but looking back I wish I was more open to making new friends. Also the guidance counslers should help you too :] Looking back I wish I knew that I didnt have to change myself, and that highschool ISNT what it seems like on tv. Cliques and groups hardly exist and it wont matter outside of highschool. Plus you cannot stuff anyone in the lockers :P

My advice to you is just be yourself please, dont lose who you are. Try to be outgoing and postive and also try to get as much credits as you can in the first 3 years!
