Interesting question if you are asking what I think you are. There are many stories and real case scenarios that I have heard of where the higher up in society the family is the less likely they are to accept diversity. I'm not sure if it has to do with tradition or how the mind changes once you obtain a certain level of 'respect' from your peers or if the way they were raised affects it.
I think it has mostly to do with one's environment. Those that have been surrounded with diversity from the beginning of their development are much more prone to accept diversity than to hold more racist or self centered views. Take a child that has grown up in the city. They are surrounded with diversity on a daily basis. They see upper class, they see middle class, lower class, people of different races, differerent cultures and backgrounds.
On the other hand, you take a child that has not been exposed to many cultures, perhaps grew up in a more rural area, they would be much more succeptable to not accept diversity. I see it all the time in the city I live in, people are so narrow minded and do not accept others that are not like them.
Not sure if I answered your question or not, but would love to chat with you about your ideas...IM me if you want.
