a character evoking sympat? Hi I need help answering this question:
Discuss how the reader sees Heathcliff, a brutal, sadistic, and cruel character, as a character evoking sympathy by the end of the novel.
The problem is i don't have concrete examples to explain why.
So far on my own, I have come to the conclusion that the reader should emphasize for him because:
A. he is originally a poor kid with good qualities.
B. he is only misguided and changes because he seeks revenge on all who have troubled him.
C. he dies with a tragic life walking on the marsh or on a sad note.
If anyone has any better evidence or examples please contribute with chapter numbers
-THANK YOU SO MUCH!
