Cancer (medical term: malignant neoplasm) is a class of diseases in which a group of cells display uncontrolled growth (division beyond the normal limits). Other cell division like the meiosis cell division which takes place during reproduction is controlled.One more major difference is that some cancer may spread where as cell divison do not. Cancer is dangerous whereas cell division is required for body growth.
