I used to draw all the time when I was a teenager (I'm 21 now) and I love to draw manga but these days I feel so discouraged. Every day I plan on drawing but I never start because I'm so worried it's not going to turn out good and I'm going to feel even more discouraged so I almost never try. I'm definetely not a proffessional quality artist but I think I have pretty decent ability, it's just actually trying that's hard for me. I have all the drawing tools I could ever want but one of the reasons I'm afraid to start is that I don't know how to use them. The kind of manga I want to draw/color uses colored ink to color the picture (unlike copic markers or watercolor) and there is absolutely zero instruction on how to use them in this matter which adds to my frustrations. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get over my fears of failure and just practice drawing more regularly?
