I'd like to pose a question(s) to all those out there who continue to insist that Walmart & other discount stores are good places to purchase bicycles & replacement parts. If they are SO GOOD, why is it you NEVER see anyone race a discount store bike? If they are so good, why is it we see here on Y/A so many questions about buying replacement parts for discount store bikes? (Inner tubes, etc.) If they are so great, why do they usually (99.9% of the time) use the cheapest components possible? Some SRAM & Shimano derailleurs aren't even listed on the manufacturers web site. 90% of these bikes (or more) use cheap freewheel hubs & single wall rims. Why is it that most of them (again 99.9%) come in one frame size only?
Yes, my mind is already made up. I do not trust or like discount store bikes or parts. I want to see & read your response. I want to see what logical facts you can use to back up your opinions. Got any good ones? Kinda doubt it...
