I was in the hospital to remove adhesions in my abdomen. A few days into recovery they began to pump me full of antibiotics - and what was to be a overnight surgery landed me in the hospital for eight days. My Mother is convinced that the warnings on the door of my hospital room were for me, not for the women next to me which is what they told us. You had to gown up and use procedures for an infected person for all staff. My question is, are hospitals required by law to tell you if you acquired an infection while there? There were a lot of unanswered questions in that hospital stay, yet my records do not record any of them.
