I have a teenaged daughter with mild Asperger's, and her obsession is Law and Order and anything to do with it. I personally don't think it's a very good thing for her, but she has Asperger's and diverting her interests is a losing battle. Anyway, she has major anxiety issues and her show helps to calm her down sometimes when she's very upset.
A few days ago, my daughter was pulling a tantrum and yelling at me, and my husband got angry and deleted a few episodes of her show from the DVR as a punishment. She got absolutely hysterical, because that show pretty much is her obsession and we took it away, and my husband and I had a huge fight about it. Do you think he did the right thing, if it works, or is it unfair for a child with Asperger's?
