Disc read error on playstation 2? ?

I bought a used version of kingdom hearts yesterday from gamestop and on my playstation 2 it says disc read error so I put in another game, sims 2: castaway, both discs are completely clean and hardly have scratches. But neither of them are working, but some of my OTHER games are working, do you think it would be my playstation or just the games?
