I have to FIRST state that I am NOT trying to remove the airbags from my truck. I'm in a school for mechanics and I've been assigned to find information about disarming and removing the airbags from my own vehicle. I have to write a report on this. I'm looking for websites that include safety precautions, the actual steps involved in disarming, removing, and then replacing the airbags in a 1999 Ford Ranger. Any help would be appreciated. I've posted many places and received that answer "It's illegal. You're gonna get in trouble." amongst other nasty comments. I have to restate, I AM NOT GOING TO REMOVE THE AIRBAGS. I just need info about theoretically doing it for my report. Thanks!
