Disadvantage of converting Beatles stereo remasters to mono?

I have Beatles FLAC Discography. Its the stereo Remaster.
What would be the disadvantages of converting these stereo tracks into mono rather than buying the mono remasters?

Would there be a difference at all?
Stereo is annoying when listening in headphones.

The discography is in FLAC. I want to convert them to MP3. But in mono if theres no disadvantages.
