Disable scrolling on laptop buttons?

Ok, So I just bought a new HP Laptop and the mouse on it is annoying. There left click and right click buttons are also touch areas for moving the mouse. I like to rest my finger on the left button and it moves my mouse alot and also highlighting is very hard. Does anyone know how to disable this. I only want it disabled over the buttons
