Dirty Harry

Saw a clip of this again on one of the BBC4 programmes about 70s policing. It was the scene where Harry was stood over Scorpio on the football field, all but ready to shoot him when Scorpio squealed "I have rights"

Over 30 years old but still as relevant in today's society!

Hard to imagine now, but back in the day DH was a real benchmark.
Can't remember his name now but the guy playing the baddy is exceptional in this. The scene where he is shouting at the kiRAB in the bus "SING!!!!" put the fear of God into me when I first saw it.

Andrew Robinson.

Better known perhaps to younger audiences as Garek in Star Trek and also from the Hellraiser films.

The DH producers gave him the role precisely because he had an innocent 'angelic' look, which contrasted with the character's sick killings and motives...

It always bugged me that despite Harry's claims his .44 Mag model 29 never did blow anyone's head 'clean orf'. Real let down the final dispatch of Mr Robinson after all that build up.

As usual Warner decided not to release the Dirty Harry Bluray boxset in the UK just like they did with Harry Potter and Blade Runner - so I had to import it- fortunately Warner dont use region coding on Bluray

Cracking quality - cracking sound and mountains of all new extras on top of what was on the previous dvd's.

The opening rooftop shots of Dirty Harry are lovely in HD
