I have a good gt full suspension bike because i mainly freeride/xc but im interested in dirt jumping. and i was wondering if it would work to dirt jump with it. I know that most dirt jumping bikes are either bmx or hard tail so i was just curious why there aren't any full suspension dirt jumping bikes...?
thanks!

If you use it for cross country it might not be the best bet. You sort of lose some of the momentum and what not with the rear shock aand also with the angle of the top tube being higher it doesn't jump as easily. There are some slope style bikes though that can do some gnarly jumping, but using a cross bike won't really work. It depends on what you have.

they are not a lot of full suspension dirt jumping bikes because
usually dirt jumping consists of a jump right after a jump right after a jump.
if your bike has rear suspension you can break it fast because each time you land your suspension will go in and before it can fully come out you are already landing the other jump so your bike can get messed up real quick.
full suspension is for a hughe drop if you have freeride bike.

you can go dirt jumping with your full suspension but try to lockout the rear shox if you can.
