I know that to put in a piston you have to completely take apart the engine and then put it back together but if I had all the tools to do it how long would you think it would take to take apart an engine then rebuild it on an 200cc dirt bike

If you are replacing the piston something must be wrong. If the bike had problems with the piston then the cylinder is more that likley trashed. I would have it re-bored to a new oversized piston then replace. To put it back together about 30mins to 1 hr. If you take your time and put on new rings like you should (and have to with an oversized piston) and use assembly lube where you should. Since it is a 200cc bike then its probably a four stroke so the timing may take you a little time. Just make sure you get it right.
Good Luck!!!!!

It will take a few hours if you are inexperienced at this procedure. Additionally, you will need a ridge reamer, a cylinder hone, torque wrenches and other tools. Check on line for different part resources. You may find that you can buy an upgrade kit for you model with a cylinder and piston already fitted so all you have to do is bolt on the kit. The real problem is you may end up with a more powerful, slightly larger engine. But, times are tough and you need to save money so just suffer through the increased performance issues and try not to laugh about the other riders behind you in the dust. some sacrifices are necessary. :-)
