dirt bike hours/miles....?

how many miles are on a bike that has 83 hours on it?
its a 300 and is that alot of miles?
uhm, its a 2 stroke... and is that alot of hours for a 2 stroke then?
 
really all depends on the bike for starters... a dual sport would have more miles on it for the hours than a bike that was strictly off road. if it is a 4 stroke and has been well maintained than it isn't bad but it is gettin' up there for a 2 stroke.
 
I agree with BillZ, Hours of run time can not equate to miles run.

But if you figure each riding session at 5 hours, it has only been ridden 17 times.

Look at the overall condition of the bike. Are the bars straight? Is the plastic discolored and badly scratched or cracked? Are the muffler and radiator brackets warped? How does the engine sound? Cinking, pinging, and rattling noises are bad omens. How easy does it start cold? Does it shift smoothly? Any spokes missing or warped? Any kind of engine mods are a red flag.
 
you cant go with miles on a dirt bike if you never get out of third gear than ur motor is spinning a lot more than if it was in high gear. if they say 83 hrs it has more than that by far.
