People have been so helpful in the past here. My friend is still looking for a place to open. She is stuck on a place on Lincoln near Wellington and now they found a place on Armitage near Clark and the other streets are Lincoln and Sedgwick. It was previously a Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and then a Bobtail Ice Cream place.
She wants to do a baked goods/deli/take out prepared food with an Italian twist. Also Italian felato, espresso and cappuccino's. I say to open on Armitage.
Her inspiration has been for the longest time-The Barefoot Contessa.
My vote goes to the Armitage location. There are no deli's in the immediate vicinity and I think she would do well there.
Does anyone live in that area and could reccomend what a desirable food establishment would do well or is lacking?
She won't take my word on this one and is afraid of asking for opinions.
