Thanks to everyone for listening!

I posted this question before and rec'd 1 response. Please HELP!!!!

My girlfirend who is an excellent cook by the way, wants to open a fast food Italian style place on the 300 block of Armitage.

She has a great concept and would do great in my opinion. Italian pastas, gelato to come in the summer, sandwiches, pannini's, dinner items, salads, Italian pastries and homemade cookies.
I don't see a place near there with this menu. It would be to take out for home or work or to eat there. Prepared foods that are ready to go and catering. She makes a MEAN cheescake!!!!!!!
This would not be a typical Italian restaurant, but a to go place. Homemade pasta sauces and meatballs either cold, hot or frozen to eat at home, let's say for another day. Breakfast sandwiches, espresso, American coffee, etc. fresh baked bread to sell by the loaf.

She is so close to getting it but is afraid. I can't blame her, but I think they would do well there.

If I can get an honest opinion of the area/neighborhood and if anyone Anyone who frequents this location or works/lives out there could respond to give her some confidence, this would be great.
I know the economy is what it is, but people still eat out. Instead of eating lasagna for 14.00 a plate you could get it for half the price, restaurant quality and eat it there or at home.

Now with the holidays on the way this would be a great spot to pick up delicious sweets and food.

Please let me know what you think. I love that neighborhood and I think it would be a great place to pick up an individual fresh pizza, pasta, sandwich etc.

They have had restaurants and bakeries in the past, but now it's a different time, different economy out there.

With all that being said, I still think people would enjoy this and a welcome change to what's out there.

Thanks for any help!!!
