Dimensions for a tire that will fit a 17 inch rim?

What are the dimensions fo the tire that i will need to fit a 17 x 7 rim? I'm planning on putting Drag DR-11 rims on my 1990 Mazda RX-7 FC and wanted to make sure.
I was thinking 205/50R17 but idk if the tire would be the same size as the stock RX-7 tires
