I am a bit overweight, just had a child 10 months ago. No energy, always tired, excessive hair growth on my face, very dark and coarse hair, weight gain, moody, sharp pain in lower abdomen during intercourse, on and off sharp pain in my lower belly, sometimes hurts to sit, sharp pains in my lower abdomen comes and goes, hair thinning on my head, normal periods ( on a birth control ) low sex drive at 29 years old, actually I have NO SEX drive at all anymore, fingernails growing downward, tingling in my fingers and hands when grabbing things.
Gone to Doctors, they said Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, however meds didn't work well with my body, these hormone therapy birth control pills aren't working that I am on now.... I have an appointment in June for more testing. Next tests are, hormone testing and potassium levels.
Scared something is wrong with me. Have been through several doctors. They all stab in the dark and just want to do more and more testing that isn't really needed. I have a wonderful husband who sometimes gets the brunt of my not feeling well. This has been going on now for almost 6 years. I feel like I am cheating my family out of a better mother and wife. Wondering if anyone else has symptoms similiar?
