Digital photography challenge?

I have a pentax optio 375 with 10megapixel 4gb memory card. it had 22 shooting modes, along with macro, and timer....so i'm up for pretty much anything.

i'm going on holiday to a foresty destination and i'm a complete picture fanatic. i want some kind of challenge, to get at least one example of a certain kind of picture.

does anyone have any picture idea types? just to give me things to look for in my surroundings which might make good and effective pictures?
 
Get close up on allot of leaves and then put all the pictures together in a frame thing! That would be cool to look at in the future, or to sell. I mean i would buy that ;). If you can maybe get a treetop view! That would be awesome! Or just a view high up in a tree. Taking pictures of roots at the surface is enjoyable to! Also little mushrooms and stuff on the forest floor can be interesting.

I've always enjoyed shots taken from very tall trees.

Still I also like pix from inside of caves, ice caves the most!

And macro/close-ups of rattlesnakes are my favorite.
