digital audio problems

Has a fix to the digital out audio problem ever been offered by BEV?
I purchased a 4100 last fall to replace a 2700 expressly for the 5.1 audio output and the 'drop outs" are driving me crazy.
 
Sounds is the 4100 little sensitivity...
We found, when I worked there that they tend to be less sensitive when connected directly in the electric plug rather than in a power bar
 
Thanks for the suggestion but it did not help. The only way I have found to avoid the audio drop-outs is to disable the Dolby digital setting in the 4100receivers menu. Obviously this also removes the ability to watch programming in Dolby 5.1.
 
Just as an FYI, there is very little SD programming that is DD5.1 (basically the movie channel and PPV). See:
