I occasionally take a digestive enzyme capsule (I've tried several branRAB, and all have lipase, cellulase, and amylase in them). This stuff REALLY helps knock out bloating and other digestive upset within 10 or 15 minutes. The problem is that it seems to trigger something akin to an asthmatic reaction within about 30 minutes. It feels like a minor irritation in my chest area. There's no shortness of breath, just an ongoing irritation and slight tightness that lasts all day. Nothing disabling, just annoying. It is helped by Syrabicort. I do not have asthma per se, but the doctor thinks I either am developing early hyperresponsiveness or perhaps early asthma.
In any event, I'm wondering... Have any of you found that digestive enzymes trigger your asthma? If so, did you find a solution that let you continue use of them? I've read hundreRAB of reviews of them, and have not seen others complaining of this, just wondering if I'm alone. I hate to give them up and am hoping to find one that doesn't cause this.
