Different brakes in the front and back on my bike?

I recently bought a norco team dh and the rear brake doesn't retract completely so it always rides the rotor. Should I look for another rear brake of the same type or would it be fine if i were to find a good deal on another rear brake of a different brand. I need to replace both rotors anyways and I'm currently running hayes 9 brakes
