Dieting & Exercising but still not losing weight, what am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I'm 25 and weigh 16 stone 11, before I started my new diet regime approx a month and a half ago I was 17.5 but I think that was all water loss though I could be wrong, my problem is i've reached a plateau and not losing anymore weight or seeing a difference to how I was a month ago.

I go to the gym 4x a week and spend 20mins on the cross trainer, 15mins on the bike, 15mins on the treadmill and approx 15mins on the resistance machines to increase muscle strength (all machines at quite high resistances). I have cut out major junk foods from my diet and focus more on wholemeal wheatgerm toast for breakfast with a cup of tea, shreddies and fruit for a snack if I get hungry and a main meal after the gym usually around 7:30 and I drink water throughout the day. I sweat the whole time at the gym which is a good thing but only difference I feel I am making is that i'm building muscle in my legs (as most times they feel really tense and solid) and can stay on machines longer, I want to lose the fat first then tone the muscle.

I have poly cystic ovaries and have done for at least 10yrs and know this can make you gain weight and make it harder to lose it, I also suffer from irregular periods (basically have about 3 cycles a year) and I recently asked my doctor to start me on Metformin 500 which I have been taking for 3 days so far.

So basically I need to know,
Will Metformin help with the weight loss?
Based on all the info above what am I doing wrong that's stopped the weight loss?
Is there anymore I have to do to lose more weight as my goal is to drop 3 pounds a week but would be happy with at least one.
Do I need to increase my gym time/ activity (usually in their for 1.5hrs rotating machines)

All info will be appreciated

Thanks x
