My daughter is 2 and a half years old. On Monday I decided to take away her pacifier cold turkey. For a long while she was only taking it at naps and bedtime. She developed pneumonia before Christmas and she had her pacifier all the time since that was the only thing that comforted her. After the pneumonia cleared up and she was back to normal she wanted it 24/7 so I decided to take it away.
Since I have taken it away she has become more clingy, agressive and will NOT sleep unless I am holding her. She also will not sleep in her own bed and has been sleeping in my bed. If I try to tell her she has to sleep in her own bed she will throw everything around in her room, throw herself at the walls or on the ground and will scream and cry bloody murder...
Should this pass when she gets more used to not sleeping without her soother?
