I really want to send birth announcements once my baby is born in the beginning of April. I am so excited about my new baby. My mom says that it is very rude to send out announcements as it is just for asking for gifts. Do other people view birth announcements as wanting gifts? I always thought they were about announcing the new baby. A lot of my family lives far away. Did you send out birth announcements and did other people think it was rude?
