war in Afghanistan with Drones? At first I thought it was a great idea, but I couldn't understand why Obama wants to send his most loyal supporters to Afghanistan? While it would be fun to get them out of this country I don't really want to put them in harms way. So I think its a bad idea, lets let the military fight the wars not ignorant Obama supporters. Do you agree or not.

Why is Obama taking so long to respond to his Generals request for more troops? Doesn't he know that our troops are in danger and the longer it take for him to decide if he wants to win or lose this war will result in more dead American?

Obama also seems to understand that Afghanistan is a political situation, not a military one, and won't be solved by counterinsurgency. If more troops are sent, it will only mean more insurgents, and there will be just as much danger, only more troops in danger than before.

McChrystal's request is based completely on the idea that counterinsurgency can work in Afghanistan, which is a ridiculous idea considering it has failed for 30 years straight. It's not Iraq, and most Afghans have a deep-rooted hatred of the United States because it was us who created the Mujahedin and started the war in the first place in 1978. Obviously McChrystal knows nothing of politics, in which case, Obama could find him a nice war to fight somewhere without any political consequences. Or he could just shut his mouth and do the job he volunteered to do. There's no draftees in service right now.
