Did you appeal the maximum timeframe for financial aid?

Have you appealed the maximum timeframe in the past, and if so, what was the result?

I am a student at a community college, transferring to a University after this semester, and I currently do not yet have enough units to transfer, mbut after this semester I will. I have however attempted over 90 units, so they are trying to take away my financial aid, what happened in your situation?
 
I think once you attempt over 90 units, they have the right to take away your financial aid. You can appeal and tell them what happen and that you want higher education for the better. They might reconsider :)
