Did the media raise the debate bar too low for Palin and too high for McCain so that?

she seemed to have done better than he did last night
He is supposed to be the best at Townhall style.
 
McCain did pretty bad regardless of where the bar was set.
That was a completely awful performance in so many ways.

If that was his best....he should find a excuse and skip the last one.
