did the auto shop charge me the fair price to repair a toyota camry?

they told me, that my 1993 toyota camry needs a new distributor. they told me that the part and the wires cost over $300, so in the end, i had to pay $444 for the parts and labor. i should have asked them for the order part's receipt which i didn't.

now i wonder if they overcharged me? because at first, they want me to pay for $35 for oil change. then they lowered the price to $25.

can someone tell me? thanks.
no, i have got a coupon from a toyota dealer, they can do oil change for only about $16. i told the auto shop that i was going to buy my own motor oil, and they told me that they will then change it for me for free. then since it was getting late, they lowered the price to save me the trip.

when they gave me the receipt, they didn't write everything clearly, they just put a total price on the receipt, which kinda make me suspicious, but since on that day, i had no choice. so i had to pay by cash, and they don't accept credit cards, that is also suspicious.

no the parts were probabally ordered from a dealer so it sounds about right and labor didnt hurt you...i think thats fair and they probabally lowered the oil change price because you gave them the job for your distributer they just trying to say thanks....hope this helped
